New COVID case reported by Algoma Public Health

The new case brings the number of cases in the region to 65

Algoma Public Health confirmed the 65th COVID-19 case in the Algoma region on Saturday evening.

The person, who was tested on Dec. 23, is currently self-isolating while their exposure category is not known.

APH defines unknown exposure as the person did not have recent international travel or close contact with a known confirmed case. 

The Algoma region currently has three active cases and two other cases which are active, but non-Algoma residents temporarily in the region.
