Beginning on March 8, people 50 and older with medical conditions and disabilities as well as caregivers of children with special health care needs will begin receiving COVID-19 vaccinations.

The Chippewa County Health Department, in a release issued Wednesday afternoon, advises that all others aged 50 or older will be eligible to receive vaccinations beginning on March 22.

Vaccinations are being scheduled by appointment only and will be done online through the health department website or by phone.

Appointments are also being staggered in an effort to limit the number of families waiting for vaccinations at any given time.
