In the springtime our memories of you go to picking morels
In the summer you landing a fish off the dock or the many boats that gathered around you on Basswood Lake
In the fall, the hunt for deer on your favorite Island
In the winter, ice fishing you would go
Folks say you were lucky - we know that's true
But there was a lot of skill there too
Always whistling a happy tune and that old familiar toothpick
Your seasons have passed, but you live on in our hearts
Always loved and respected.
