Air Canada has announced that as of Thursday, April 2, all flights between Sault Ste. Marie and Toronto will be suspended until April 30, 2020.
While the airline suspended numerous domestic and international routes throughout the month March, the Sault-Toronto route is part of the latest group announced that also includes Toronto-London, Calgary-Regina, Halifax-Sydney, Montreal-Moncton, and many more.
The Toronto-Thunder Bay, Toronto-Sudbury and Toronto-Timmins routes remain operational with up to seven flights weekly, the Air Canada website indicates.
"We will continue to operate domestic and international flights with a reduced schedule for the month of April," the airline states. "The schedule is subject to change, as we continue to monitor demand and government restrictions on travel."
