It looks like the Sault is losing its only escape room.
Like many businesses, Locked Up Escape Rooms was forced to shutter back in March as COVID-19 spread across the province.
According to a Facebook post released on Monday, Locked Up Escape Rooms has made the decision to permanantly close.
The post reads as follows:
It is with a heavy heart we must announce the difficult decision to close our doors. We want to give a big and warm thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. We could not have asked for more wonderful clients and neighbours. We aimed to build an immersive experience where people could come and enjoy themselves and get locked up. Thank you for sharing your smiles and laughter with us, we hope you enjoyed your time with us as much we did!
Locked Up first opened in the Sault at 98 Great Northern Rd. in June 2016. The interactive experience gave customers the option to choose from three scenarios, whereby participants would have to solve puzzles and clues on a timer in order to 'escape.'
