A night of Latin-Hispanic culture planned for October

The Northern Ontario Latin-Hispanic Association (NOLHA) will be hosting a gala this fall.

Slated for Oct. 21 at 5 p.m., the NOLHA will be holding Gala Latina: Barranquilla Carnival at the Delta as a fundraiser for the non-profit organization.

For those who are unfamiliar, NOLHA is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and celebrating Latin-Hispanic culture and heritage. We strive to enhance cultural awareness and enrich our community; sharing ideas and providing experiences to further the understanding of our Latin-Hispanic culture. NOLHA was first started in 2013 and we are proud to be celebrating our 10-year anniversary this year!!

We are excited to be hosting a Colombian Barranquilla Carnival themed evening organized by many of our Latin members and volunteers from Latin America and Canada. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for cocktails followed by an authentic inspired Latin dinner at 6:30 p.m.  Entertainment will follow at 7:30 p.m., hosted by a Master of Ceremonies, supported by a local sound provider. This will include Latin Music by La Borinquena Salsa Orquesta, some Latin performers and more.
