The 2023 Algoma Fall Festival will be celebrated with Canadian music sensation Preston Pablo, chef Christine Cushing and other amazing Canadian talent, the Algoma Arts Festival Association has announced.

“It’s our 51st year in Sault Ste. Marie,” said Tiana Trutenko, president of the Algoma Arts Festival Association. “Wonderful music, great food and Celtic fun. October is once again full of excellence and entertainment!”

The Algoma Fall Festival began in 1972 and has featured many prominent Canadian artists and performances over the years including the National Ballet of Canada, Bruce Cockburn, Natalie McMaster, Jann Arden and Stuart McLean and The Vinyl Café, the association said in a release.

In this year's festival, Preston Pablo from Timmins will share his blend of pop and R&B on Oct 12.

Chef Christine Cushing will inspire with her cooking on a tour of Italy on Oct. 13 and host Bake with Chef Christine on Oct. 14.

Acclaimed and beloved musician Peter Katz will perform on Oct. 19 in The Loft at The Algoma Conservatory.

Celebrate Celtic in Algoma this year with Rankin & Wright on Oct. 27 featuring Cape Breton fiddling and old time cello. On Oct. 28, Nova Scotian sisters Cassie & Maggie will light up the evening with their traditional and contemporary Celtic instrumentals and vocals.

“We’re excited to continue to entertain audiences and attract visitors to our city,” said Donna Hilsinger, executive director. “We wouldn’t be here without the tremendous support of the business community, our volunteers and our loyal patrons.”

Tickets for all shows are available starting Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. See all of the details and get tickets at www.algomafallfestival.com.
