All aboard the Haunted Norgoma (4 photos)

The annual fundraiser runs from 7 to 10 p.m.

For four years, Donna and Harold Duguay constructed a haunted Halloween maze in their back yard for neighbours and friends to enjoy for free.

“My husband is a nut for Halloween,” said Donna Duguay, adding he would construct the maze using “miles” of plastic.

The last two years they hosted the maze at home, weather all but destroyed a week’s worth of hard decorating work the day before Halloween.

“After the second time, I said: ‘That’s it. Either you find a venue or we’re not doing this again’.”

And find a venue he did – the MS Norgoma.

Now in its fourth year, the creepy watercraft features a host of ghouls, both animatronic and live.

Entry is $3 or a donation of non-perishable food items.

“I figured that if we’re moving it to a venue, we may as well raise money for something,” said Duguay.

All food items collected will be split between the Soup Kitchen Community Centre and St. Vincent Place, and all cash proceeds go to ARCH and contribute to maintaining the MS Norgoma.

Halloween is your final chance to board the Haunted Norgoma as volunteers welcome younger visitors from 7 to 8 p.m., and braver adults from 8 to 10 p.m.
