NEWS RELEASE

KIWANIS COMMUNITY THEATRE CENTRE

*************************
Registration continues for the KCTC Summer Theatre Camp 2016 hosted by the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre in collaboration with The Sault Youth Theatre.  No experience or bug spray required.

For eight years KCTC and The Sault Youth Theatre have offered an encouraging and inclusive theatre experience where learners may express themselves and grow in confidence under the direction of professional instructors.

Students ages 10 - 15 will participate in ten exceptional days (August 15-26) of theatre exploration through acting workshops including: voice, improvisation, character development, movement, script analysis, ensemble building

Skills learned will bridge into a showcase performance of "The Beggar and the Wolf" a funny adaptation of an old Italian tale about peace and overcoming fear through understanding. Dare we say that the play is howlarious, yet gives paws for thought?

Coaches include Loretta Durat and Anthony Aceti. Camp Director is Bob Cooper.

We are excited to announce our Guest Performance Coaches: Agnes McCarthy, Sandra Forsell, Jack Wetherall and Timothy Murphy who will join us for visits and special workshops and provide feedback on their experiences in the theatre, from training to community and professional work.

Teaching Assistants are: Lizz Beith and Abby Barsanti.

Placements are limited and registration will close when all spots are filled. Come out and express yourself at the KCTC!

For information visit: saultyouththeatre.com or contact Bob Cooper 705-945-8165.
