Auditions will be held on Aug. 26 for the local production of All Together Now!

The production, which is being held on the weekend of Nov. 12, is being put together by West End Theatre Project and TMurphy Entertainmant Inc. in association with the Sault Community Theatre Centre and is part of an international fundraiser.

Money raised locally will go to updating theatrical lighting and wireless communications equipment for the Sault Community Theatre.

Three performances are planned locally from Nov. 12-14.

All Together Now! features songs from Music Theatre International's catalogue of musicals including AnnieCharlie and the Chocolate Factory Fiddler on the RoofHairsprayRent, and Les Miserables among others.

The local production will be directed by Lucas Beaver and Timothy Murphy with help from producer Valerie Pluss and a stage management team that will be led by Kristine Thomas.

In a prepared statement, Beaver spoke of being "excited to celebrate the return of live theatre."

“The past year has been a challenging time for everyone, particularly arts organizations," Beaver also said. "We look forward to welcoming our patrons back and hopefully introducing some new theatre-goers to the incredible roster of local talent we have here in Sault Ste. Marie and the magic of theatre with this truly wonderful revue.”

Auditions, which will be open to local performers of all ages, will be held at Algoma's Water Tower Inn on Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. and on Aug. 29 at 2 p.m.

Attendees are asked to prepare a song from the list included on the West End Theatre Projects' website, where additional audition and casting information can also be found.
