Camp out for Mike; enjoy country music, food and beer

ECHO BAY - In only a few weeks, Algoma's official kickoff to the summer event, the Mike Case Country Music Festival presented by Country 104.3, will be set to entertain residents from across the Algoma District to pay tribute to Northern Ontario musical icon, James 'Mike' Case.

This inaugural event put on by Xcite Events, is set for Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 1 p.m. - 2 a.m., at the Laird Fairgrounds in Laird, Ontario.

Packed full of local country musical acts and entertainment, this all-ages event will be headlined by Asylum Country and White Stallion, Mike's former band, in addition to MC Angels, Lorrie Lynn, The Ride, Morgan Steele, Mark Tarantini, The Dave Anich Band and Lil and Marty Siltanen.

There will also be a special performance by Country 104.3's Jeff McNeice who will also be Master of Ceremonies for this event. Free parking, food vendors, a beer tent and more will also be on site for everyone to enjoy.

Event organizers are also welcoming everyone to camp out on the grounds for free, and sleep under the stars with friends and family after the event has concluded.

Early bird tickets for this event are currently on sale for $17 exclusively at www.mikecasecmf.com, by visiting Case's Music or calling 705-297-1134.

Tickets will be available at the door for $25. Debit, credit and cash will be accepted at the door. Kids 12 and under are free.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation and the North Shore Agricultural Society.
