Come for a delicious dinner, stay for the murder mystery

Algoma Repertory Theatre will be presenting the timeless 'whodunit' tale in Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” Nov. 13 to 16 at Quattro Hotel — and the theatre group says it has found the perfect cast of characters.

Directed by Sandra Forsell, Christie’s iconic play is a thrilling murder mystery that unfolds within Monkswell Manor, a guesthouse newly opened by Mollie and Giles Ralston, Algoma Repertory Theatre said in a news release.

As a blizzard hits the countryside, a group of seven strangers is snowed in together, setting the stage for a gripping tale of suspense.

One of the guests is killed, starting an investigation into the lives and histories of everyone there. One of them is the killer, and another one of them may be next.

"Tensions rise as secrets and suspicions surface among the guests when the characters’ backgrounds and connections unfold, red herrings and twists build to a thrilling climax that unveils the true identity of the murderer."

The show will include Courtney McDonald as Mollie Ralston, Josh Fillion as Giles Ralston, Jarrett Mills as Christopher Wren, Allycia Mulcair as Miss Casewell, Heather Craig as Mrs. Boyle, Jay Faught as Mr. Paravicini, Tim Bass as Major Metcalf and Marc Beaudette as Detective Trotter.

Dinner is Family Style and will include fresh bread, mixed greens, cheese ravioli in homemade red sauce, roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables with strawberry shortcake for dessert with coffee and tea.
