Come hit things with sticks with Danno O'Shea

Sault native and drummer extraordinaire Danno O'Shea returns to his hometown this June for two performances with his band, My Son The Hurricane.

While here, he’s pleased  to partner with Case’s Music to host a drum clinic on Saturday, June 11 at 1 p.m.

The clinic is appropriate for drummers of all skill levels, and will focus on stickings, accenting, polyrhythms, the concepts of soloing, and the like.

As a veteran of the North American and European touring music scene, O'Shea will also be available to answer questions regarding touring, acquiring and booking big tours, live performance, endorsements, SoCan, and music royalties.

A limited number of private lessons with O'Shea will be made available.

Please be sure to bring your sticks and practice pads.

His 14-piece Niagara/Toronto-based hip hop brass band, My Son The Hurricane, will perform at Loplops on Friday and Saturday, June 10 and 11.

About Danno O’Shea

Danno O'Shea is a professional drummer who has performed with Grammy and Juno Award winners as well as Polaris Music Prize nominees.  

His abilities have taken him on tours of over 12 countries and landed him endorsements with Silverfox Drumsticks and Savior Custom Drums.  

He performs an average of 200 shows a year as well as a full schedule of sessions in Nashville, LA, and Toronto.

Danno has performed on MTV and MuchMore Music, and written for Global, Sun TV and more.

His biggest crowds have been 30,000 in Ortiguera, Spain and Oporto, Portugal.

Danno is also the drummer and bandleader for My Son the Hurricane, a 14piece supergroup that tours Canada regularly and just released Is This What You Want?! on Vegas Funeral Records.

Lately, he has been backing CBC kids artist Will Stroet on his show Will's Jams as well as touring with numerous acts.  

When he's home in Niagara, he likes black coffee, NFL football and CBC talk radio.
