Family Day Fun - Sault residents enjoy weekend with loved ones

Finn Hill and Hiawatha Highlands are popular Family Day weekend spots outdoors, while the public library and Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre have lots of activities taking place indoors

In case the warmer temperatures weren’t already a good enough excuse to get out of the house, many families in the area made sure to enjoy some quality time together during this year’s Family Day weekend.

From tobogganing at Finn Hill and skiing at Hiawatha Highlands to participating in arts and crafts at the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library, the long weekend was filled with loads of family-friendly activities.

For locals looking for something to do on Family Day Monday, the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre is partnering with Entomica Insectarium by hosting a winter-themed carnival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event includes crafts, face painting, interactive singing, cookie decorating, and much more.

Tickets are available online and at the door.
