Nicholas Luck live at Mane Street Cafe

Feb. 11

Enjoy some live local talent this weekend with musician Nicholas Luck at Mane Street Cafe and Lounge at 626 Queen St. E. Luck will be performing live from 7 to 10 p.m. tonight. Half price selected martinis and snack board specials will be available.

VDAY Virtual Drag Show

Feb. 14

If you’ve ever wanted to attend a drag show, now is your chance with the Klub Community Wellness Centre’s Valentine’s Day Virtual Drag Show. Performers will include Paris Gore, Ariana Venti, Lucia Pet, Back Door Betty, Lana Von Archer, Kiki Gorgeous and Franco The Dad. Tickets for the Valentine’s Day extravaganza are $15 each, with sales going to performers. The virtual show will be held on Monday, Feb. 14 starting at 8 p.m. More information and tickets can be found online.

Virtual Valentines and Violins Concert

Feb. 14

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a virtual concert held by the Sault Symphony Orchestra. This Valentines and Violins concert can be enjoyed with a loved one via Facebook, YouTube or the SSO website on Monday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. Ticket purchases will not be required, but the Sault Symphony Orchestra encourages the community to make a donation of any size. Donations can be made online, or via cheque sent to: Sault Symphony Orchestra 1007 Trunk Rd. Room 213 Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 5K9. 

Black History Month Virtual Celebrations

Feb. 18

For Black History Month 2022, Algoma University and The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Anti-Black Racism committee are hosting virtual events all month long. On Friday, Feb. 18, The Intersections of Blackness, Indigeneity and Colonial Histories will be held via Zoom from 7-9 p.m. Panel Speakers will include Dr. George Dei, Dr. Esther Ojulari, and Dr. Tamari Kitossa.
