This year's Fringe North Festival promises to be the biggest one yet, with over 40 local, regional and national artists.
Set for Aug. 21 to 25 in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, the popular festival will showcase a mix of theatre, music, visual arts, digital works, puppetry, dance, drag and burlesque, hip-hop/urban performances and more.
The venues have been set: the Sault Ste. Marie Museum, Stardust Pictures Studio and the Art Gallery of Algoma.

The Fringe North Festival is back and bigger than ever! From Aug. 21 to 25, this vibrant multi-arts festival takes place in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, featuring an eclectic mix of theatre, music, visual arts, digital works, puppetry, dance, drag and burlesque, hip-hop/urban performances, and more.
This year’s festival will be hosted at three iconic and fully accessible venues: the Sault Ste. Marie Museum, Stardust Pictures Studio, and the Art Gallery of Algoma. Fringe North 2024 offers both in-person and digital performances, ensuring accessibility for everyone. The festival includes shows for kids, adults, and the whole family, making it a perfect event for all ages.
As well as many incredible live and digital performances, Fringe North will also include a licensed refreshment area hosted by Broers Jansen, and a multi-vendor market, including a mini pop-up of Algoma Makers Market. Ice cream, face painting, a free Family Fun zone and live outdoor music stage round out the fun to be had, and festival organizers are sure there is something for everyone!
Committed to breaking down barriers to the arts, Fringe North offers low ticket prices with many pay-what-you-can (PWYC) opportunities. Artists receive 100% of the box office proceeds, supporting their creative endeavours directly.
