Hundreds filled the Roberta Bondar Pavilion on this chilly evening for the 8th annual Rockin’ Out For Recovery, which celebrates those who have taken the steps to overcome addiction.
Hosted by the Sault Ste. Marie & Area Drug Strategy, the event brought together a number of area community partners and agencies who provided information on the services that are available for residents in need of help.
SooToday caught up with Terri Nicholson earlier this week, who is a past chair of the Drug Strategy, and she says the event helps “recognize the work, the struggle, and the fight that people are making every day in the battle against addiction.”
Live music, a free barbecue, and prizes were also enjoyed by attendees.
