The familiar roars of engines returned to Great Northern Road this morning as motorcyclists with the annual Algoma Ride for Autism got rolling for a charitable cause.
An estimated 180 bikers participated in this year's event, which raises thousands of dollars for the Algoma Autism Foundation.
Saturday's ride kicked off from Highland Ford at 11:30 a.m. where participants motored towards the north end of the city.
From there, the group headed to Heyden, through the Bellevue Valley, and all the way up to Goulais before returning to town at the Esquire Club for post-ride festivities.
The event also included presentations, a 50/50 draw, silent auction and ride merchandise.
Since being co-founded by Jamie Boston in 2013, the ride has raised more than $100,000.
