GALLERY: Locals horsin' around at Bon Soo this weekend

Day 2 of the winter carnival included horse and pony rides, as well as Science North activities and a pancake breakfast

Temperatures may be mild, but the excitement has been anything but as Day 2 of the Bon Soo Winter Carnival is bringing families out in droves.

In the Canal District, attendees enjoyed a pancake breakfast this morning before Science North offered kids some hands on fun with "Animal Extravaganza," among other activities.

While the bum slides weren't possible this year, residents are still finding fun outdoors with trailer rides, axe throwing, and carnival rides.

Over at Clergue Park, the young locals are saddling up and enjoying horseback and pony rides, while vendors like Hogan's Homestead, Beaver Tails, and Roolz Vending are on-site to provide some tasty treats.

Bon Soo organizers told SooToday that helicopter rides are currently in a delay as they wait for foggy conditions to improve.

Later tonight, Bon Soo will be hitting the dance floor when Northern Superior Tap Room hosts its EDM Sno Bath from 8 p.m. to midnight for 19+ adults.
