GALLERY: Rotary celebrates heroes at 100th Community Day Parade

Annual parade had no shortage of music, dancing, and ‘Sooperheroes’ as Queen Street was filled with fun on Saturday morning

The weather conditions were nearly perfect Saturday morning for the thousands of Saultites who lined Queen Street to take in the 100th annual Rotary Community Day Parade.

Running between Church Street and Gore Street, this year’s parade featured a “Sooperhero” theme, which invited participating teams to dress up as their favourite superheroes and decorate their floats accordingly.

Queen Street East from Church Street to Gore Street is expected to reopen at 1 p.m., when parking will once again be allowed.

Following the parade, many attendees headed over to Clergue Park where Rotaryfest is entertaining visitors with a wide variety of food, activities, and live music.
