The spirit of Christmas is coming to the Sault Community Theatre Centre! Algoma Repertory Theatre has teamed up with Century 21 and Rogers Media – KISS 100.5 as the title sponsors to bring you “It’s a Wonderful Life – a live Radio Play”. This heart-warming classic will hit the stage from Dec. 15-17, 2022, and is a great way to welcome the holiday season with friends and family.

George Bailey is a generous and well-meaning man who dreams of adventure but has become dispirited and has lost his way. He is overwhelmed by family obligations and a sense of responsibility toward his community.  He feels tied to a company he never had an interest in working for, and a life he never wanted to live. With the help of a lovable angel, Clarence, he is shown what life would be like if he was never born. This show captures the true heart and spirit of the holidays and will be a treat for all ages.

Directed by Sandra Forsell, this version is staged as a live 1940s radio play. You’ll get to experience the magic of 18 actors in period costume playing 63 different parts with Foley Artists creating all the sound effects on stage – live!

The cast includes: Marc Beaudette, Amanda Moss, Rob McDowell, Tim Murphy, Jarrett Mills, Megan Wigmore, Vernon Bailey, AJ Brisson, Mike Doherty, Abigail Hicks, John Howes, Lauren Kroll, Jane Morris, Maggie Chapman, Jayden Frech, Maggie Lawson, Randy Lundrigan and Quinn McCracken. Foley and music provided by Chris Mozarowski, Keith Bowser, and Stephen Gagnon-Ruscio.
