The entertainment roster has been announced for the 5th instalment of St. Joseph Island’s Go North Music Festival at the Centennial Fairgrounds in Richards Landing on July 7 and 8.

Friday night's country music lineup features honky-tonk from The Holy Gamblers, as well as performances by alt-country songstress Nickola Magnolia and folk-country soloist Solomon Woodland.

Headlining Saturday's program will be the winner of the 2022 JUNO Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year, Monowhales. Also performing are Texas King, garage rock trio Royal Castles, Americana powerhouse Jeremie Albino, Toronto rock band Propter Hawk, and local favourites The Northwest.

Early bird passes are $50 for the weekend (first 200 tickets only) and go on sale today (April 4) at 4 p.m. on Eventbrite.

Following the early bird sale, tickets are $65 for advanced weekend passes, or $55 for Saturday only. Student rates apply for youth aged 13 to 18 years, and kids aged 12 and under are admitted free. On-site camping is available.

"Entering year five, we’re very excited to continue our festival’s track record of featuring amazing talent at every level of our lineup, and giving our audience a weekend to remember,” says Go North chair, Jody Wildman, in a news release. "We’re excited to continue developing our opening night experience with some great country artists, while maintaining the feel and flavour our Go North visitors have come to expect on Saturday. Having the option to get tickets for just one night, or both, makes it possible to offer more choice at Go North. We think people are going to love this year's lineup, all the vendors, and our great Family Zone activities. It's going to be a great weekend to spend on St. Joseph Island."
