Hogwarts comes to life in Lego in 'Night at the Grand Theatre'

A later afternoon and evening of fun and wizardry is back for another year in support of The Brickspace, a local organization that uses Lego bricks to foster creativity and learning.

The Harry Potter-themed event takes place at the downtown Grand Theatre on Oct. 28.

Get ready to embark on a magical journey as we invite wizards and witches of all ages to join us for Night at the Grand Theatre: The Magical World of Lego Harry Potter (Year 2)!

This enchanting event will transport you back to the spellbinding halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Grand Theatre in downtown Sault Ste. Marie.

Hosted by The Brickspace - Twin Soo Bricks, this family-friendly event promises an evening filled with wizardry, wonder, and Lego Harry Potter adventures. Admission is by donation to support The Brickspace, an organization dedicated to fostering creativity and learning through building with Lego bricks.

Event highlights include:

• Cosplay Contest: Dress up as your favourite wizard, witch, or magical creature and compete for fantastic prizes.
• Photowall with Dobby the House Elf: Capture memories with everyone's favourite free elf.
• Carnival Games: Test your magical skills at Sorting Hat challenges and Quidditch Toss.
• Experience Harry Potter Games: Try your hand at Hogwarts Legacy and other Harry Potter video games.
• Giant Lego Hogwarts Castle Display: Marvel at an awe-inspiring Lego Hogwarts Castle creation.
• Face Painting: Transform into your favourite magical character with professional face painting.
• Themed Local Vendors: Explore a magical marketplace with unique Harry Potter-inspired merchandise.
• Silent Auction and Giveaways: Bid on exclusive items and enter to win magical prizes.
• Trick or Treating: Join us for a special early treat as we kick off the evening with trick or treating on Queen Street from 12 PM to 2 PM.

Please note that while admission is by donation, some activities at the event may have a small additional charge:

• Face painting: $8 per person
• Carnival Games: $1 per game (includes Sorting Hat and Quidditch Toss)
• Photo-Op: $5 per digital copy or print
