Illuminate the Season returns this week

Illuminate the Season with ARCH returns for a second year this week at the Machine Shop.

The festive holiday ARCH Hospice fundraising event runs from Thursday through Sunday and features raffles, auction items, kids activities, and an opportunity to skate with Santa Claus.

The countdown is on to the second annual Illuminate the Season with ARCH! This family-friendly event is open to the public starting on Thursday, Nov. 17 until Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, at the Sault Ste. Marie Machine Shop.

Admission for the event will be available at the door – cash only, and can be used throughout the weekend! Prices are seniors - $8, adults - $10 and families - $20.

Illuminate the Season with ARCH will bring together all ages and will have something for everyone to enjoy! The event will include festive décor with an opportunity to bid on and win trees, wreaths, and planters. While parents are enjoying the decors, kids can take part in Santa’s workshop which will include face painting on Friday, Nov. 18 from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19 from 12 to 10 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The station will be monitored by volunteers throughout the entire event. Lastly, kids can skate with Santa for free under the roof at The Rink located at The Machine Shop on Sunday, Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m!

Each tree, wreath and auction item will include a QR code that is linked directly to the online auction hosted by SooToday. This will allow viewers to bid and vote on their favourite trees, wreaths and auction bundles at that exact moment! You can browse, and bid on these items from Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022 at 5 p.m. until Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022 at 8 p.m. For those who are the lucky winners can stop by the The Machine Shop on Monday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

If you are looking for something unique, be sure to stop by both The Celebration Raffle and Savoy’s Jewellers Tree Draw throughout the weekend. The Celebration Raffle features 11 prizes donated from local businesses. Tickets are $5 each, with only 10,000 printed! The purchase of one ticket will give you 11 chances to win, Licence M834603! The Savoy’s Jewellers Tree Raffle features three beautiful items donated from Savoy’s for one lucky winner to choose from. Tickets are $20 each, with only 400 printed, Licence M834600!
