It's A Red Wood Christmas

If you got the holiday blues, don't feel bad. So do Red Wood Central. They will be bringing their brand of traditional blues to the Downbeat Lounge on December 25th and 26th.

If you got the holiday blues, don't feel bad. So do Red Wood Central. They will be bringing their brand of traditional blues to the Downbeat Lounge on December 25th and 26th.

Currently based out of Ottawa, Red Wood Central was formed in 1995 by Sault natives Michelle "Red" April and Al Wood. Two CDs and a third on the way, RWC is band on a mission. They keep their blues trimmed down to the roots with old-style picking and folk inspired harmonies.

Michelle's strong vocals and Wood's picking will be once again complimented by bass-playing sensation and long-time friend of the duo, Lindsay Pugh.
