Habitat for Humanity is launching a new fundraiser and you're invited.

Touch-a-Truck is set to take place on June 11 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Marconi Cultural Event Centre, with a limited-noise sensory friendly hour from 10 to 11 a.m.

This hands-on event will allow children of all ages to get up close and personal with the trucks that keep our city moving. Children will have the opportunity to sit in, interact with, and learn about the vehicles from the drivers themselves. For some extra fun, kids are encouraged to dress like the drivers of their favourite trucks!

Event entry is free, but donations upon entry are strongly encouraged. All proceeds will support Habitat’s Affordable Homeownership Program and help local families build brighter futures. Habitat will also be kicking off a three-month 50/50 raffle in June, with tickets available for purchase at Touch-a-Truck.

We hope to see everyone at the event.”

“SalDan is proud to support Habitat’s newest interactive fundraiser, Touch-a-Truck! This event will allow children to learn about not only construction and trades vehicles, but first responders as well! We believe that opportunities like these are what shape our community and encourage youth to have fun, explore, and discover interests!” states Holly Tennant, Communications Coordinator and Customer Relations Representative, SalDan Construction Group.

“We are more than happy to support such a worthwhile event in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.  What a special and engaging opportunity for children and their families to come together, explore and interact with experts in their field.  We offer immense gratitude to Habitat for Humanity for providing this innovative opportunity for families,” said Danny Viotto, HSCDSB Director of Education.
