Lilac and Lavender Festival returns to Old Stone House (4 photos)

The Victorian High Tea featured delicious treats and beautiful decor

Since Friday, members of the Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site have been welcoming patrons back inside for their 15th annual Lilac and Lavender Festival.

Attendees have been enjoying the flavours and fragrance of high tea with their friends and family while sampling from a number of delicious treats and desserts.

After they were forced to hold the teas online during the pandemic, the festival excitedly returned to the Old Stone House for the first time in almost three years.

The dining area was beautifully decorated with lilac and lavender, while the mouth-watering scents and sights of the tea and treats were impossible to avoid.

Similar tea festivals are being held all around the world as Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her platinum jubilee.
