Hannah Lindsay and Jacob Quarrell have formed new musical duo, Sainte Marie.

Sainte Marie live at Mulligans 

March 31

Local musical duo, Sainte Marie, will be performing live at Mulligans Irish Pub (1804 Queen St. E.) on March 31 starting at 7 p.m. Sainte Marie members Hannah Lindsay and Jacob Quarrell will perform separately to open the show, then come together as a duo for the main event. $5 pints will be available during the performance. 

Algoma U Jazz Ensembles - Live at the Loft

March 31

The Algoma U Jazz Ensembles will be performing a concert this Thursday at the Loft, the new concert venue at the Algoma Conservatory of Music. Doors will open at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. There will be food and drinks available and a cash bar. These student ensembles have been hard at work throughout the year, and are excited to share their work, the event’s Facebook page reads. Tickets can be purchased online.

Straight Outta COVID

April 2

Four Toronto comedians will be visiting Sault Ste. Marie for Straight Outta COVID, a stand-up comedy event set to be held at the Tech on Saturday, April 2 starting at 8 p.m. Cedric Newman, Chris Quigley, Jeff Faulkner and Evan Dubois are scheduled to perform. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at Booster Juice (710 Second Line E.) or by calling 705-992-5035.

Blues for Ukraine

April 2

The Sault Blues Society is doing their part to support Ukraine by hosting a night of Blues music on Saturday, April 2 at Rockstar Bar (864 Queen St. E.). All proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. The show will start at 8 p.m. Cash or cheque donations can be made in person or online

YMCA Spring Bazaar

April 3

Stop by the Sault Ste. Marie YMCA and check out their Spring Bazaar on Sunday, April 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a chance to support local and buy from talented local makers and creators. Admission to the bazaar is by donation to the Strong Communities campaign

Easter Bake Sale

April 6

On Wednesday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., visit Central United Church for their Easter bake sale. There will be cinnamon buns, cinnamon bread, hot cross buns, butter tarts, date squares, and more. There will also be various household items and clothing available. 

Baking Class

April 8

Local youth can have fun learning how to bake with this virtual baking class held by The Northern Outlet on Friday, April 8 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The first 10 participants to register will receive free ingredients to use for the class.
