Canadian rock icon Matthew Good made a surprise guest appearance at the Limblifter concert at the Canadian Night Club on Friday night.

Limblifter, who is currently on tour in support of Matthew Good across Canada, played an energetic show that featured many of their most loved songs as well as a number of tracks from their recent "I/O" CD.

Half way through the evening, Limblifter front man Ryan Dahle introduced "Beautiful Midnight" to the audience calling them "the best Matt Good tribute you'll ever see." Beautiful Midnight (a name borrowed from the Matthew Good Band's CD) was in fact Matthew Good on vocals, Rich Priske on bass guitar, and Pat Steward (also of the Bryan Adams band). Together with members of Limblifter, "Beautiful Midnight" performed "Put Out the Lights" from Good's 2004 release, White Light Rock & Roll Review, before disappearing into the night.

Dahle and the rest of Limblifter finished out the evening -even spending time with fans after the show.

Limblifter, Matthew Good, and Auf Der Maur will next be performing at the Cool Haus in Toronto.
