Museum 'Paint Night' will raise a brush (and glass) to spring

Looking for a way to brush off the long winter and welcome the colours of spring?

The Sault Ste. Marie Museum is inviting members of the community to grab their painting clothes and some friends and join in an evening of creativity, wine and good company for a good cause.

The next “Paint Night at the Museum” Fundraiser will take place Friday, May 26 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.).

The event takes place at museum at 690 Queen St. E. in the main floor Durham gallery with the theme for the evening being "May flowers".

Tickets are $50 and include paint, canvas, painting instruction, and one glass of wine from Broers Jansen, the museum said in a news release.

More wine and snacks will be available for purchase from Broers Jansen, who will be open on-site at the museum for the evening.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the Sault Museum’s education and programming department.

There is free parking in the museum’s back parking lot and also nearby in the Albert/Brock Street parking lot.
