Algoma Repertory Theatre (ART) will host open auditions for its upcoming diner theatre production of Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding which hits the stage in march 2023.

Auditions take place at Elite Dance Force located at 477 Queen St. E. (please use back door) this Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. Call backs will be on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to audition and there’s no need to have anything prepared, says a news release from ART.

Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding is a one-of-a-kind night of entertainment – it plays out as a real Italian wedding. It is an immersive comedy show staged as an evening of nuptials for two Italian American families,” says the release. “It invites the audience to actively participate in all festivities: everyone is a welcome guest at the ceremony and reception, there’s real food, real dance, and real mingling with the cast of lovable characters with the audience acting as guests at the reception.

“The show is half scripted, half created in the moment by the actors. The ability to improvise, play and have fun is very important so come to the audition prepared to do just that.”

Next month, ART will present It’s a Wonderful Life – A Live Radio Play by Joe Landry at the Sault Community Theatre Centre from Dec. 15 through 17.

Tickets are on sale now at the Community Box Office in the Station Mall or online. www.artinssm.com/wonderfullife
