A crowd of 650 Saultites gathered Friday evening at the Sault Community Theatre Centre for an evening of high-strung hilarity presented by East Coast comedian Ron James. The award-winning Canadian comic kicked off the Ontario leg of his 2020 Full Throttle tour with two hours of meandering musings and poignant political jabs.
And this may be the last time we'll see this funny fellow on a local stage.
The 62-year-old, during a recent interview with SooToday's James Hopkin, revealed that he's gearing up for at least partial retirement.
“I think in the fall, that will be the beginning of my final run across country, and that will take anywhere from three to four years to complete - and there you go,” he said. “I want to get the Sault in now, and I love being up in the wintertime. That’s a great time to see that place.”
