Sault Theatre Workshop presents, with the Law Office of Murdoch J. Carter, the dark comedy The Last Dance of the Dark Cloaked Avenger, written and directed by R.J. Downes, a local playwright with over 20 years' experience.

As a playwright, Downes' works have been performed all across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.

As a producer, director, and stage manager, he has worked with a broad and eclectic range of production companies in Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg and Vancouver.

This will be his first local production, a dark comedy about a death in the form of a 1940s radio play.

The main character, Arthur Warnes, wakes up to find himself inside a studio in the afterlife performing from a script written about his own murder.

Life and death ultimately collide as both the police and Arthur try to figure out who-done-it, both with the help and hindrance of the rest of the cast and crew of the radio show The Dark Cloaked Avenger Hour.
