ALGOMA CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC

The Algoma Conservatory’s New Horizons Band will present their spring concert on Wednesday, June 14. The group has had a busy year, presenting five concerts and participating in the Sault Ste. Marie Music Festival.

Under the direction of Ed Dickey, the concert band will feature a variety of selections: marches, classical, folk, jazz, rock and musical theatre.

The group, primarily composed of retirees, encourages a passion for music and support our members who are courageous enough to try something new and share the joy of music with the community.

The New Horizons Band program comes together to play music in a supportive and fun environment, led by experienced professional musicians.  Some participants are learning to play an instrument for the first time, while others are re-connecting with an instrument they have not played in years.

The concert starts at 7 p.m. and is being held at Bethel Bible Chapel, 686 Black Rd. Admission is free.
