ALGOMA CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC

To all Voice and Piano Students:

We have some spectacular guest teachers coming in August that are offering one week sessions for Piano or Voice.

Both sessions are August 13 to 17

Piano Camp:  

The piano camp is for junior to advanced players. It is August 13 to 17 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day. The cost for the week is only $195. The guest pianist is Joel Harder - an outstanding graduate of the renowned Juilliard School in New York. Don't miss this opportunity to focus on your piano for a week this summer and receive some great practice advice and musical tips from this excellent artist. Students from all teachers are welcome.

Vocal Camp:

Once again this summer there is an amazing one week vocal camp with two outstanding guest artists from the U.S. Jonathan Beyer - Baritone and Joanna Wernette - Mezzo Soprano. Both are from the Chicago area and have performed across North American, including performances with the Metropolitan Opera. The camp is also for junior to advanced singers. It is August 13 to 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and the cost for the full week is $350. The day will include vocal technique, acting, staging, movement, opera and musical theatre. There will be a performance on the final Friday afternoon. 

Come and enjoy. They are great people to work with and the atmosphere is friendly and informal. Just a few weeks ago Jonathan was teaching at the renowned Curtis Institute in Philadelphia. Don't miss this opportunity to work with these exceptional artists in Sault Ste. Marie. Students from all teachers and working on any style of music are welcome.
