Superior Heights OnStage student performers will soon be holding their spring musical revue, a showcase of songs sung by the heroes and villains from classic Disney movies.

The event takes place at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, June 15 and 16 at the Sault Community Theatre Centre.

The musical concert revue, titled Zero to Hero, will include a blend of timeless Disney hits, popular songs, and memorable show tunes from popular movie-musicals over the years.

Songs on the performance list include Part of Your World, We Don’t Talk About Bruno, and I Just Can’t Wait To Be King. Movies represented will include Beauty and the Beast, Moana, and Hercules.

“The Superior Heights students have spent countless hours rehearsing, refining their vocal skills, honing their dance routines, and perfecting their stage presence. Their commitment, passion, and hard work will undoubtedly shine through every note, every step, and every performance,” said Anthony Aceti, Algoma District School Board arts department head in a release.

“Admission for the musical is free but donations for the Superior Heights OnStage musical theatre program will be accepted at the door. Seating is first come, first serve. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Superior Heights arts programming, allowing future generations of students to continue exploring their creative talents,” Aceti said.
