There will be a soup and frybread fundraiser for the LSSU Powwow at Kewadin Casinos Bingo Hall, 1286 Shunk Road, Sault Ste. marie Michigan from 11am-2pm. Soups will include potato, chicken noodle, chili, broccoli, macaroni, whitefish chowder, turkey, wild rice, and vegetable. Winter Rec Fest will be held at Minneapolis Woods Recreation Area from 10am-noon. This will be a unique, non-competitive event that combines cross-country skiing, showshoeing and tubing. For more infromation please call 906-635-2470. Sponsored by Project Park, LSSU Rec Club and the Sustainable Sault Coalition.
Big Air Competition @ Searchmont Resort. Cost is only $20 per person (lift ticket not included). Registration on event day will be from 9am to 11am ONLY in the main lodge. Competitors will be able to practice from 10:00am – 11:30 am. At 12:00pm a riders meeting will be held at the bottom of the jump. Each competitor will be able to take 3 (three) jumps total. The best 2 out of 3 scores will be used to determine the winners. Please call 781-2340 for further details.
