Community Quality Improvement (CQI) is pleased to announce their Community Café event in the ADSB board room from 10 am to 11 am. Visit www.adsb.on.ca for more information.

The Canadian Hearing Society presnets the Fondue Frenzy at the Best Western Great Northern Rd. This event will feature comedy, music, silent auction, and FONDUE! Tickets are $25 and are available at The Canadaian Hearing Society, 130 Queen St E or by phoning 946-4320, TTY 256-2752.

The Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians will hold a Spring Pow-wow on the campus of Lake Superior State University.  Activities will begin with an open house and spiritual gathering from 10 am to- 5 pm. For more information please contact LSSU's Native American Center at 906-635-2223.

CANSTRUCTION: is the most unique Food Drive in the world. Sault Ste. Marie Architects, Engineers, businesses and students demonstrate whose team can build the most spectacular structure at Station Mall using little more than full cans of food. 4:30 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Station Mall and the structure building begins 6:30.

Gates of Winter have new merch and a new CD soon to be released. Check 'em out tonight at the Sault College's Outback.

Spyder's Web @ the New American, 602 Bay St. from 7 pm to midnight. Come dance or just listen to the best classic rock & country at the friendliest bar in town.

The Kiwanis Club is holding it's annual breakfast at the Conservation Authority Sugar Shack on 5th Line. All you can eat pancakes and sausages from 9am to 1pm. Call 946-3116 for details.

CANSTRUCTION: Judging structures and People’s Choice Voting begins @ 1:00 during the Sault Community Career Centre’s Passport to Unity in the White Pines Cafeteria. Admission is only one can plus a $2 donation. Free shuttle buses will depart from the Galaxy Theatre doors to White Pines and back from 12:30 pm until 5 pm.

Downhill Dummy event @ Searchmont Resort: Participants will build dummies attached to skis or snowboards. Staff will run the dummy down a specified section of the hill into a large jump in attempt to make the landing or smash to pieces in a blaze of glory. The event starts at 2 pm. Join the Sault North Archery Club for their Open House to celebrate their new indoor shooting range located at 285 Wilson St. from 10 am to 3 pm.

Slush Cup and Ugly Shorts Competition @ Searchmont Resort: The Slush Cup is a popular annual event that is FREE to anyone with a lift ticket.   Registration begins at 11 am and the event will commence at 2 pm. The Ugly Shorts Competition begins at 1 pm. Join us on the deck outside Bernard's Bar for judging. Call 781-2340 for details.
