If you haven't heard them play in a while, there is a good reason. The duo that make up the Granola People have been busy with their respective lives, but are making their long awaited return to the stage on Thursday, December 23rd at the Downbeat Lounge.
Frank Deresti and Andrew Muncaster, who together make up the Granola People, have been performing their original music in this city for more than a decade. The have become well known for their trademark harmonies and thoughtful melodies. They have released three CDs, their latest entitled "Blair."
Deresti, who lives in town, teaches at the Conservatory of Music and is an instructor for Algoma University College's Music Department. Muncaster is currently studying for his Doctorate and is only back in the Sault for the holidays.
The Granola People have garnered a strong local following with their unique sound. The receive airplay on CBC and college radio stations around the province.
The Granola People's "Blair" is available at both The Rad Zone in the Wellington Square Mall and CDPlus in the Cambrian Mall.
