In the meantime, here are a few highlights from the coming weekend:

The Canada Day celebration on Friday, July 1 at the Bondar Pavilion kicks off at 2 p.m. with music, kids activities and fireworks at dusk.

The Canada Day Kicker at The Yard features two days of music and celebration Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2. Friday’s concert by Hedley includes openers The Beaches and Dustin Jones and The Rising Tide. Saturday’s showcase includes Kira Isabella with Autumn Hill and the River Town Saints.

The Ride performs at the Rockstar Bar on Friday, July 1 to celebrate Canada Day.

The Royal Canadian Legion will host a classic car show and BBQ on Saturday, July 2 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Moonshadow performs at the New American Pub starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 2.

A tribute to local rapper Don Mulatto runs from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Bondar Pavilion on Saturday, July 2.

The Glen Miller Orchestra plays the Arts Centre at Lake Superior State University from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 3.
