'Vibrant celebration': White Pines to host first cultural fair

White Pines Collegiate and Vocational School will be hosting its first Cultural Fair next week.

“The Cultural Fair promises to be a vibrant celebration of diversity, welcoming all friends and family of students to join in the festivities,” the school said in a news release.

“Attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of cultures represented at the school.”

The school says to expect the following:

• Cultural Performances: experience captivating performances showcasing the diverse talents and traditions of our student body;
• International Foods: Indulge in a culinary taste-test with a selection of delicious international finger foods;
• Interactive Activities: Engage in hands-on activities that offer insights into different cultural practices and traditions;
• Door Prize: Don’t miss your chance to win a fabulous door prize that celebrates the spirit of cultural exchange and understanding.

The Cultural Fair goes Thursday, May 9 from 5 p.m, to 8 p.m. at 1007 Trunk Rd.

Admission is by donation with the proceeds going to White Pines’ Breakfast and Snack program.
