PROJECT GRAB HOLD
*************************
Project Grab Hold is organizing its secnd Annual Gala Fashion Show on Nov. 29 2019; the unique fundraising gala evening takes place at the historic Machine Shop.

The 2018 Gala was a great success! We are excited to be presenting this amazing fundraiser again this year, in support of the Sault Ste Marie branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association. The Gala evening encompasses, a silent auction, a dynamic show, and a fun charged after dance party.

“We are pleased to be working with Dr. N. Kargbo and Jillian Petingalo on the Project Grab Hold Fashion Gala, event in Sault Ste. Marie on Nov. 29. We hope that you are interested in joining our efforts to make Sault Ste. Marie a mentally healthy community, which embraces everyone regardless of their physical illness or mental health illness.” says Annette Katajamaki, Executive Director of the Canadian Mental Health Association - Sault Ste. Marie Branch.

Tickets for this glamorous fashion evening are on sale now at The Community Theatre Box Office (at the Station Mall and online) $60 for the Fashion Show and After Party. $150 for the VIP ticket. Included is a red carpet entry with photo opportunity, a stunning fashion show, silent auction and an after party featuring The Killer Hooks. The VIP will enjoy a mix and mingle with the designers, dinner with wine before the show, preferred show seating, swag bag and the after party. Seating will be limited. More event information will be released via Facebook and Instagram.

As members of the community of Sault Ste. Marie, we Dr. Natalia Kargbo and Jillian Petingalo, have become more aware that the local Canadian Mental Health Association Programs are in need of increased promotion and support. Many people fear talking openly about mental health and many are not aware of the programs available. Programs that teach people how to maintain good mental health, how to help others facing mental health crisis and those that offer on going assistance to people with mental health issues and their families.

We wanted to create a high profile event that would aid us in the increased promotion of the local branch of the CMHA and its programs while also allowing for the opportunity to raise funds to support the continuation of these very important programs. Dr Kargbo’s second career as a fashion model sparked the idea of creating a dynamic event that put to use her fashion connections to the benefit of a medical area of our community.

Since this event is the result of a co operative effort between members of two communities and different walks of life our ultimate hope is that the positive effects from this event will spread beyond the community of Sault Ste. Marie and result in a lasting benefit to the awareness of mental health needs. Our goal is to achieve a level of donation/sponsorship that will allow all of the ticket and silent auction proceeds to go completely to CMHA-Sault Ste. Marie Branch and it’s programs.

If you would like to volunteer to help at the event, as a hair stylist, makeup artist, or to be a model in the show or for more information about Project Grab Hold’s Fashion Gala please contact the box office, email grabholdfashiongala@gmail.com or contact us through Facebook.
