FRIDAY, JUNE 16

  • The Summer Moon Festival continues today with workshops, exhibits and a Street Party on Queen Street East between Tancred and Gore Streets starting at 8 p.m. The event features food and refreshments, and live music from BookClub and The Hustle Brothers.   • The annual Queen Street Cruise begins with the Parade of Cars at 6 p.m. BoneYard will hist the stage at the Bondar Pavilion at 6:30 p.m.
  • The Whisky Barrel hosts Josh McNally from 7 to 8 p.m. followed by Juliana Regan and Blair St. John from 8 to 11 p.m.
  • RPM hits the stage at the Water Tower Pub at 8 p.m.
  • Hollow Heads return to The Tap Room at Northern Superior brewing. Show time is 8 p.m.
  • Sound Check plays Shooters Lounge starting at 9 p.m.
  • Double Down will perform at Reggie’s Place Tavern from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Generations play Jay’s Piston Broke Pub. Music kicks off at 9:30 p.m.
  • Mustang Heart is set to play the Esquire Club starting at 9:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, JUNE 17

  • Sustain Algoma Expo happens at the Johnson Township Community Centre in Desbarats from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
  • The annual Algoma Ride for Autism kicks off at Highland Ford with registration at 10 a.m.
  • The Queen Street Cruise Show and Shine Car Show kicks off at 10 a.m. BoneYard kicks off the live music at 12:30 p.m.
  • Leslie Cook performs at the Moose Lodge from 2 to 5 p.m.
  • The Great Lakes Makers Market happens at the Elks Hall from 2 to 7 p.m.
  • The Summer Moon Festival wraps up with its headline concert at The Machine Shop featuring Skratch Bastid at 8 p.m. Full festival details can be found online.
  • Encore plays the SSM Casino starting at 8 p.m.
  • Crossroad performs at the Water Tower Pub from 8 to 11 p.m.
  • Matthew James returns to The Tap Room at Northern Superior brewing. Show time is 8 p.m.

  • The Downtown Association presents a free Summer Solstice concert at the March Street stage with food from Jiggs and Reels, a vendor market, and music from Chase James Wigmore and Darsombra. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

THURSDAY, JUNE 22

  • The 2Spirit Organizing Committee will host a Rainbow Info and Art Expo in the Thunderbird Room at the Rankin Arena from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event is open to everyone.
  • The Art Hub at Spring will host an artist talk with Penny Gabor at 8 p.m.
  • Kevin California performs at The Whisky Barrel from 8 to 11 p.m.
