SATURDAY, JUNE 11 - Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie & Area is excited to announce its newest fundraiser in support of our Affordable Homeownership Program. The Touch a Truck event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Sensory-friendly hour: 10-11 a.m.) at the Marconi Cultural Event Centre. Entry fee is by donation. This will be a fun, hands-on event that will allow children of all ages to get up close and personal with vehicles of all shapes and sizes such as firetrucks, police cars, construction equipment, and more. Children will have the opportunity to sit in, interact with, and learn about the vehicles from the drivers themselves. There will also be food, fun activities, and many vendors to explore.

SATURDAY, JUNE 11 - Grocer 4 Good is pleased to announce its 1st annual Come As You Are Gala in support of Grocer 4 Good Ability Development Program, at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, start time is 6 p.m. Tickets are $40 each or a table of eight is $300. For tickets please click here.

SATURDAY, JUNE 11 - Troys' Trail 2022: A Re-Connect. Show your support for Troy’s Trail and all those in Sault Ste. Marie whose lives have been affected by hydrocephalus and spina bifida. Friends and family can pre-register and donate anytime between now and up to the day of the event.  Drop-off for donations is at 382 North Street. Online donations can be made here, or contact Troy and Annette Chandler by phone at 705-946-4532 or 705989-4349. The walk goes rain or shine. Location: 619 Bay St., Active Living Centre. Registrations are at 11 with the walk to follow across at Clergue Park

SATURDAY, JUNE 11 - Mark Tarantini sings the best of George Strait songs at the Bruce Mines Community Church at 7 p.m. Tickets are are $20 and are available at Forestland Clothing & Gifts in Thessalon, Heritage Home Hardware in Bruce Station, M & J Hair Boutique in Bruce Mines, Mariner's Cove in Bruce Mines or call Judy at 705-785-2447 or Connie at 705-785-3508.

SATURDAY, JUNE 11 - Come to the Esquire Club and listen to some rock and roll as Obsession plays songs by Journey, Bob Seger, Janis Joplin, Heart, Trooper, Kim Mitchell, Chris Stapleton, Rolling Stones and much more from 3 to 7 p.m.

SATURDAY, JUNE 11 - Rebel Gym is hosting an ultimate obstacle course race 3k qualifier at Queen Elizabeth Field. This is the only qualifying race being hosted in Canada for Season 1 of the UNAA (Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association). There are categories for elite, age groups, open division for ages 16+, open division for 15 and under, and an open family division where parents and children 9 and under can run the course. The website for registration and more information can be found here. Spectator admission is free. There will be a beer tent and vendors onsite.

THURSDAY, JUNE 16 - Superior Heights OnStage students will return to the stage on June 16 in their return to live theatre. Thank You For the Music is billed as a tribute to past productions, including numbers from Mamma Mia and Beauty and the Beast. Admission is free for this one-hour event and seating will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Doors will open at 7 p.m., a half hour before the start time. All members of the community are welcome. A donation bin will be present at the door for those who wish to contribute to the school’s next production, coming February 2023.
