The Algoma Community Foundation is looking to hire a new executive director.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering grant-making programs across the region.

The Algoma Community Foundation is part of a national network of community foundations, which are registered public charities that contribute to local initiatives "by convening community actors around issues of local importance, capacity building, grant-making, information gathering and sharing," according to a news release. Their work is supported through donations and the proceeds of an endowment.

The ACF has provided financial support to more than 30 organizations across Algoma doing work in the areas of mental health, addictions and substance use, seniors programming, Indigenous culture-based wellness, food security, 2SLGBTQ+ supports, and more.

Since March 2020 the ACF have distributed over $800,000 to local organizations supporting equity-deserving groups. More information about the ACF- including how to apply for the role of executive director can be found here. For specific inquiries please connect via email.

The deadline is Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. EST.
