Algoma University's 2023 Classic Golf Tournament raised $30,000 in support of the Student Relief Fund.

The fund helps Algoma students in need of emergency financial support and are applied for by students who have been hit by hardship and don't have help. The money helps students avoid being forced to leave their studies by helping them pay rent and buy food.

“It’s incredible to see our community rally together to support our students,” shared President and Vice-Chancellor Asima Vezina. “On behalf of the entire Algoma University community, I would like to share my sincere gratitude for the tremendous support we have received over the years, and this year, to ensure students stay in class, and achieve their academic dreams. None of this would be possible without the generosity, kindness and dedication of our sponsors, supporters and participants.”

The sold-out tournament was held at Crimson Ridge.
