With no snow to guide his way, Santa relied on the cheerful delight from the awaiting youngsters Saturday at the the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Richards Landing.

With no snow to guide his way, Santa relied on the cheerful delight from the awaiting youngsters Saturday at the the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Richards Landing.

His trusty helper, Aardvark the Magician, entertained the young and the young at heart with a number of magic tricks while the jolly ole man made his way to St. Joseph Island.

This year, 29 youngsters from a few months old to 12 years old, several visiting Santa for the first time received a special, pre-Christmas gift from Santa.

Registration numbers have declined in recent years, down from 38 in 2014 and 76 in 2011.

Before leaving, Santa bid everyone a, "Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas."
