NEWS RELEASE
TERRY FOX RUN
**********************
It’s not too late to join the Terry Fox Run in Sault Ste. Marie on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023. The Sault Ste. Marie Terry Fox Run Organizing Committee invites the whole community to join this memorable event.

For the past 43 years, Sault Ste. Marie participants and hard-working volunteers have kept the legacy of Terry Fox alive. As a proven supporter of Terry Fox and the Terry Fox Foundation, our community has fundraised a grand total of $730,807.79 to date! All proceeds from the local run support the Terry Fox Foundation and Terry’s vision of an inspired movement to raise funds for cancer research.

Let’s come together to show Terry we support his vision of a world without cancer!

Here is what you can expect at this year’s event. Registration commences at 8:30 a.m. at the Pavilion, with the opening ceremonies and warm-up scheduled for 9:40 a.m. At 10 a.m., choose your adventure by running, walking, or wheeling the 2km, 5km or 10km accessible routes.

Afterwards, join us under the Pavilion and enjoy refreshments or snacks and a play area for kids. Official Terry Fox Foundation shirts will be available to purchase.

We want to take the time to thank all our local supporters, participants, survivors, Team Up for Terry teams, and volunteers who have chosen to support this year’s event. Let’s show everyone how big the hearts are in Sault Ste. Marie.
