ARCH 50/50 winner to spoil herself, family with $17K prize

A local resident's planned vacation and Christmas just got a little cheerier, thanks to her support for the Algoma Residential Community Hospice.

Patti Dinsmore won more than $17,000 in the hospice's October 50/50 Grand Prize Draw. 

Dinsmore has been a strong supporter of the ARCH 50/50 from the beginning. 

She already had a trip planned for November and is excited to now be able to spoil herself during her travels. 

With Christmas just around the corner, she is also looking forward to spoiling her family after her ticket number #D-7713598 was drawn for a jackpot of $17,428.

“It is always such an honour to be able to call the winner,” ARCH’s fund development supervisor Katherine Williamson said in a news release. “Being able to hear the reaction of the winner is always so rewarding and confirms, month after month, how generous our supporters are. 

“They truly play to help hospice - the winning is just a bonus. It’s evident how close ARCH is to the hearts of our community members and I’m grateful that I am not only able to meet them, but hear their stories.”  

ARCH’s Early Bird Draws take place the second Wednesday of each month. Purchasing tickets in advance will give you a chance at both the $1,000 early bird prize and the grand prize at the end of the month. 

The winner’s jackpot has a guaranteed minimum of $9,999. 

Proceeds raised from the 50/50 go directly towards the care and support of hundreds of residents, community clients, and their families served by ARCH each year. 

The deadline to purchase tickets for November’s Grand Prize Draw is Nov. 30 at 9:30 a.m.
