Domestic dispute leads to numerous charges in Wawa

A domestic dispute has led to multiple charges for a Wawa resident.

On Aug. 14, shortly before 3 a.m., officers with the Superior East detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to an address on Hillcrest Avenue to investigate a domestic dispute.

As a result, a 47-year-old was arrested and has been charged with:

• mischief under $5,000
• fail to comply with probation order
• failure to comply with undertaking (two counts)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently released.

Due to the domestic nature of the incident, the OPP did not release the name of the accused in order to protect the identity of the victim.
